Must. Fill. True Blood. Void

The past two days I have been re-watching season one and two of True Blood with my best friend (who I just finally got addicted to the show as well!) and it never gets old! Unfortunately, I no longer have HBO and haven't seen any of season three. So sad. I'm so curious about what's goin down this season! Lindsay found the box set of the Sookie Stackhouse book series on half.com for $32, not bad! The question is do I buy them, or just go to the good ol' library? I gotta get my daily dose of True Blood somehow!  Has anybody read this series? I'm wondering how similar it will be to the show. I have a long to-read list at the moment (which I am excited about and will  start to tackle now that my busy summer of working at the summer camp and taking online grad classes for my 4-5th grade endorsement is over) but I think I want to eventually give this series a try! I think I'll stalk my favorite little bookstore for these books- all books are donated and cost .50-$1, at the most! I come home with at least 20 children's books and usually a novel or two every time I go!
